Description

This hike takes us to a national park of extraordinary beauty, Mineral del Chico, in the state of Hidalgo. Our route consists of a trek through a mysterious looking forest.

The starting point is at the park's Visitor's Center. From the parking lot (3,000 meters) we descend through a lush and humid forest and after an hour and a half we reach the halfway point. We have already come down 450 meters.

We began the ascent to the viewpoint called Peña del Cuervo, which we reach an hour later, and from which we enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the park and the Magical Town of Mineral de Chico.

With fabulous views of the rock formations around us, it is a good time to have lunch, take pictures of this unforgettable experience, and start the return trip. In less than two hours we arrive at the parking lot, and two hours later we will be back in Mexico City.
