Description

This is a hike of extraordinary charm, which allows us to explore an impressive canyion that is reached after trekking through a millenary gorge.

From Amecameca, a couple of kilometers above the Bosque de los Arboles de Navidad, we park and begin our hike. We first descend into a beautiful valley, and then follow the trail parallel to the creek towards the objective.

We pass several trails to the east, while the gorge narrows. At the end we enter a narrow and mysterious canyon, and walk to a small waterfall, where the trail ends.

In this wonderful place we have a light lunch, take souvenir photos, and start our return. In less than two hours we arrive at the parking lot, and two hours later we will be back in Mexico City.
