Nevado de Colima oder Zapot\u00e9petl ist ein 4,280 Meter hoher Vulkan im Bundesstaat Jalisco, etwa zwei Stunden von Guadalajara und weniger als eine Stunde von Ciudad Guzm\u00e1n entfernt.<\/p><p>Der Zapot\u00e9petl ist ein Nachbar des Volc\u00e1n de Fuego oder Tonalt\u00e9petl (3,900 Meter), der derzeit aktiv ist.<\/p><p>Von Guadalajara aus nehmen wir die Schnellstra\u00dfe in Richtung Colima. Bei Ciudad Guzm\u00e1n biegen wir in Richtung Autl\u00e1n ab. Eine unbefestigte Stra\u00dfe f\u00fchrt uns zum Zugangsstall des Parks, wo wir einchecken. Die Nacht verbringen wir im Centro de Alto Rendimiento auf etwa 3,700 Metern H\u00f6he, dem Camp. Dies wird uns bei der Akklimatisierung helfen.<\/p><p>Die Wanderung beginnt an einem Ort namens La Joya und f\u00fchrt durch einen \u00fcppigen Wald hinauf. Auf einer H\u00f6he von 4,000 Metern verschwinden die B\u00e4ume, und wir klettern durch ein sandiges Gebiet, bis wir auf eine imposante Felsformation sto\u00dfen. Viele von uns finden, dass sie der Silhouette des Matterhorns \u00e4hnelt.<\/p><p>Wir umrunden das Massiv, lassen es rechts liegen und klettern ein leichtes St\u00fcck von etwa f\u00fcnf Metern, das uns auf den Gipfelgrat f\u00fchrt. Zwanzig Minuten sp\u00e4ter stehen wir auf dem h\u00f6chsten Gipfel Jaliscos.<\/p><p>An klaren Tagen hat man vom Gipfel aus einen spektakul\u00e4ren Blick auf den etwa f\u00fcnf Kilometer entfernten aktiven Volc\u00e1n de Fuego. Der Abstieg erfolgt in der Regel \u00fcber die gleiche Route wie der Aufstieg.<\/p><p>Die Dauer dieser Route kann je nach Kondition der Expeditionsteilnehmer zwischen f\u00fcnf und sechs Stunden betragen; dreieinhalb Stunden hinauf und eineinhalb Stunden hinunter sind die Standardzeiten.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><em><strong>Kuriosit\u00e4ten<\/strong><\/em><\/p><p>Trotz seines Namens liegt der Nevado de Colima im Bundesstaat Jalisco und nicht im Nachbarstaat Colima.
